Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division seeks an Assembly Technician for the 1st shift in Greenwood, SC. The position pays $18.11 per hour with eligibility for a variable incentive program.

Core hours are Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Responsibilities include placing name plates for electrical assemblies, following drawings and procedures, and assisting with development work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• No sponsorship for immigration or relocation benefits; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime to support business needs.
• 3 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial environment.
• 3 months of experience using hand and air tools.
• SC Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Create or place name plates in the manufacture of medium and high voltage assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Fill out productivity and 5S sheets daily.
• Maintain minimum Kanban inventory levels and report shortages or defects.
• Respond to change notices and customer-initiated development needs.
• Assist engineering, drafting and supervision with development work.
