Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Assembly Technician I for the 1st shift in Greenwood, SC. The role involves assembling low voltage assemblies, performing material handling, electrical testing, and quality inspections to meet daily production goals.

Core hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a pay rate of $18.11 per hour and eligibility for a variable incentive program. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and hands-on manufacturing tool experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Minimum of 3 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 3 months of experience using hand and air tools.

Responsibilities

Use fixtures, gauges and assembly tools to assemble, adjust or repair assemblies.
Handle layout, drill, saw, punch, rivet, caulk and paint material as required.
Apply identification labeling on completed assemblies as required.
Retrieve and deliver materials to the assembly line to initiate the process.
Prepare assemblies for shipment or storage during final assembly.
Follow safety policies and WSRA’s and SOPs.
Read and comprehend electrical and mechanical drawings.
Perform visual inspections and quality checks to meet specifications.
Flex to other areas or perform tasks as needed.
