AMD in the United States is seeking a highly motivated ASIC Package Engineering intern/co‑op to join our team in Colorado (Fort Collins or Longmont). This full‑time, 40‑hour‑per‑week role can be hybrid or onsite, and focuses on supporting package design, development, verification, and yield improvement for AMD products.

You are enrolled in a US university pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a US university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or Materials Science Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of package design, silicon/PCB design software is a plus.
• Scripting skills in Perl, Python or SQL are encouraged.
• Familiarity with data analytics and Power BI is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support Package design and Development Engineers in prioritizing and optimizing new projects.
• Assist in substrate, interposer and bump designs for AMD products, test vehicles and probe substrates.
• Contribute to design verification to ensure performance, quality and efficiency.
• Analyze yield and defect metrics to improve design performance.
• Evaluate packaging materials and interact with partners to optimize cost and yield.
