Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is seeking an ASIC Package Engineering intern/co-op to join our team and help bring new packaging technology to reality. You will support package design and development, learn substrate/interposer/bump design, and work on design verification and yield analysis with mentors.

Gain hands-on experience on real AMD projects, with a 40-hour work week, in hybrid or onsite settings across multiple locations (Austin, Boxborough, Fishkill, Fort Collins, Longmont, Secaucus).

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a US-based university in a Bachelor's degree program related to Electrical/Engineering (or equivalent).
• Coursework in transmission lines and electric circuits is preferred.
• Experience with PCB/Package design software is a plus.
• Familiarity with Power BI or data visualization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support package design and development engineers in prioritizing and optimizing new projects.
• Assist in completing substrate, interposer and bump designs for AMD products and test vehicles.
• Contribute to design verification to ensure performance and quality.
• Analyze yield and defect metrics to help improve yield.
• Evaluate packaging materials and interact with partners for cost-efficient designs.
