Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a Service Writer to uphold high customer service standards and learn the VIP culture, helping the team deliver a better experience for every customer. You will educate customers about vehicle conditions and assist in VIP processes from intake to service completion.

The role requires LMS trainings, ASE certifications, and maintaining a ready service desk and facility during daily operations.

Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Understanding of automotive servicing and industry practices.
Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended or equivalent experience.
ASE Certification C1- Service Consultant is preferred; other ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Ensure workplace safety is Priority #1 and report unsafe conditions.
Consult with customers, build relationships, and educate them on vehicle condition based on MPI results.
Aim for higher SAX scores by engaging customers effectively.
Execute assigned duties from the Service Manager and uphold VIP processes.
Maintain facility and equipment, keep service desk ready, and document issues in the database.
Ensure compliance with the service Code of Ethics and regulations.
