Job summary

VIP is seeking a Master Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, and more, ensuring work is done right the first time. The role emphasizes safety, quality standards, and adherence to VIP processes to educate customers about their vehicle condition.

The position requires ASE certifications where applicable, a commitment to continuous learning, and cooperation with the Service Manager to uphold VIP culture and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Explain vehicle information clearly to customers, question responses from coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret, understand, and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to successfully perform required types of automotive services listed above.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is Priority #1 and follow all safety policies.
• Provide automotive systems diagnosis, repair, and maintenance services including ASE areas.
• Initiate and display valid Service Work Order before service; pass MPI and participate in 5-for-5 engagement.
• Obtain needed parts from Desk Team and return unused parts after service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and shop equipment.
• Train and certify per VIP processes; participate in team meetings and safety programs.
