Job summary

VIP, Inc is seeking a Master Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems, following VIP safety and quality standards. You will perform diagnostic work, engine and component repairs, and ensure accurate documentation of service orders.

The role requires ASE certifications and ongoing training to maintain state inspections and safety compliance in a busy shop environment. Expect a 40-hour week, with non-exempt hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, manuals, and procedures.
• Explain vehicle information clearly to customers and coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend basic automotive solutions using ASE knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain workplace safety as Priority #1 and follow safety policies.
• Provide automotive diagnosis, repair, and maintenance per ASE A1–A8 areas.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is started and visible on the vehicle.
• Complete MPI and participate in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process.
• Return unused parts to the Desk Team after service completion.
• Road test vehicles after service to verify safe operation.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and secure vehicles when parked.
