Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join our store leadership team. You will oversee a specific area and the general operations of the store when the Manager on Duty is away, including opening and closing, supervising associates, ensuring merchandise presentation, and maintaining a clean, inviting shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a specific area and the general operations of the Store when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Open and close the Store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and keep areas clean and merchandised to standard.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Provide coaching to Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Assist with payroll-related tasks and scheduling as required.
• Support stockroom organization and back-stock processing.
• Assist with floor moves, signing, and promotional displays.
