Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee general operations as needed. This role includes opening/closing the store, supervising associates, ensuring a friendly shopping environment and adherence to company processes.

The position requires supervisory experience, strong customer service, and the ability to manage front-end operations, merchandising, and loss prevention while maintaining safety and policy compliance across the store.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service experience and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety and security on the floor and in stock areas.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash handling and front-end procedures.
• Ensures proper merchandising, back stock, and cleanliness.
• Manages payroll administration including scheduling (as assigned).
• Executes administrative duties and ensures policy compliance.
