Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a store area and support operations as Manager on Duty. You will open/close, supervise Associates, and maintain a welcoming, well-merchandised store environment with strong guest service.

You will lead cash handling, front-end procedures, loss prevention, and daily administrative tasks while coaching staff to meet brand standards and store goals in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and a clean, organized store area.
• Support loss prevention, safety, and security programs.
• Coach Associates on cash registers, front-end procedures, and customer service standards.
• Assist with administrative duties and payroll tasks as assigned by Store Manager.
