Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will supervise Associates, ensure clean, well-merchandised areas and maintain a friendly shopping environment.

The role demands opening/closing the store, adherence to company processes, and strong focus on safety, loss prevention and customer service. Experience in supervision and POS systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Execute and supervise operational processes as needed.
• Maintain safety and security on the sales floor and in back rooms.
• Train and coach Associates on cash register procedures and loss prevention.
• Ensure front-end operations run efficiently and customer wait times are minimized.
• Oversee daily stockroom organization and merchandising in assigned area.
