Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to join the Store Leadership team. You will oversee a specific area of the store and assist in general operations when acting as Manager on Duty, including opening and closing the store and supervising Associates.

You will ensure proper merchandise presentation, maintain a clean, easy-to-shop environment, and execute Company operational processes as needed while training and coaching staff to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and professional demeanor.
• Fluency in English to communicate with customers and team.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as assigned by Store Leadership.
• Supervise Associates and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and keep work areas clean.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Support loss prevention and ensure compliance with policies.
• Coordinate front-end operations and staffing as required.
