Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific area of the Store and supervise operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, lead Associates, and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with proper merchandise presentation.

You will execute and supervise company processes, maintain safety, and drive customer service while collaborating with Store leadership to achieve store goals and maintain brand standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates in the manager-on-duty role.
• Maintain a safe, clean, well-merchandised store environment.
• Lead front-end operations to minimize wait times and ensure service standards.
• Execute and supervise store processes, receive merchandise, and manage back-room stock.
• Support loss prevention and protect company assets.
• Train and coach staff, schedule shifts, and monitor payroll.
