Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area, manage opening and closing duties, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment that meets company standards for presentation, cleanliness, and safety.

You will lead daily operations across merchandising, front‑end activities, and loss prevention, train and coach staff, ensure accurate cash handling, and complete administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Implement and supervise Company processes as needed.
• Maintain safety and security of the store and customers.
• Support Front End operations and loss prevention according to policy.
• Handle administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
