Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined area of the store and support overall operations as Manager on Duty.

You will open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment while ensuring merchandise presentation meets company standards. Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills required.
• Fluency in English as primary language for interactions.
• Prior customer service experience and supervisory exposure preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as Manager on Duty when required.
• Supervise store associates and ensure a safe, customer-friendly environment.
• Maintain proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed.
• Oversee front-end operations and cashier procedures.
• Assist in loss prevention, stock room management, and merchandising.
