Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area, oversee daily operations, and supervise team members on duty. The role emphasizes safety, merchandise presentation, and efficient store performance in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will ensure excellent customer service, maintain a clean, organized sales floor, and execute company procedures while supporting both frontline staff and store leadership.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store, supervise Associates, and manage Store operations when on duty.
• Maintain safe and secure environment; report unsafe conditions.
• Deliver strong customer service and uphold brand standards.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and cleanliness; manage stockrooms and back stock.
• Lead loss prevention efforts and maximize productivity by following Best Practices.
• Supervise Front End operations; coach cashiers and manage register procedures.
• Coordinate floor moves, signing, and promotional displays.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
