Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist with daily store operations as Manager on Duty.

You will supervise associates, ensure merchandise presentation, and maintain a clean, inviting shopping environment while following company processes. Responsibilities include maintaining safety, delivering strong customer service, coaching front-end staff, merchandise flow, stockroom organization, and supporting loss prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure store environment and respond to unsafe conditions.
• Provide excellent customer service and professional conduct.
• Represent the Ross brand and maintain clean, well-merchandised store.
• Assist with merchandise flow, receiving, stockroom organization.
• Operate Front End procedures and coach cashiers.
• Maintain fitting rooms cleanliness.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
• Support loss prevention and security procedures.
