Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to join our store leadership team. You will be responsible for a specific area of the store, supervising associates and maintaining a friendly, easy to shop environment while the Manager on Duty.

You will ensure proper merchandise presentation, execute company processes, and coach staff on cash handling and front-end policies. The role emphasizes safety, loss prevention, and efficient front-end operations across the store.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store; supervise Associates and oversee operations as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment with proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Execute and supervise Company operating processes as needed.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and policies; manage break schedules.
• Lead front-end operations to reduce customer wait times and ensure efficient service.
• Oversee loss prevention practices and compliance and maintain safety on the sales floor.
• Manage stockrooms, merchandising of departments, and back stock control.
