Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and support store operations as Manager on Duty. You’ll supervise Associates, ensure safety, merchandise presentation, and adherence to company processes to maintain a clean, customer-friendly environment.

Responsibilities include front-end supervision, stockroom organization, loss prevention, and ensuring efficient checkout experiences while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluent English.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety and security in the store environment.
• Supervises Associates and ensures proper store operations.
• Ensures merchandise presentation and clean work areas to standard.
• Executes and supervises company processes as needed.
• Oversees front-end operations and checkout flow.
• Manages stockroom organization and back stock handling.
• Supports loss prevention and maintains customer service standards.
