Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist with overall operations when the Manager on Duty is away. You will supervise Associates, ensure proper merchandise presentation, and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment to meet Company standards.

The role emphasizes front-end supervision, customer service excellence, and adherence to store policies. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates when on duty.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and a clean, well-stocked store.
• Maintain a safe, secure shopping environment and follow loss-prevention practices.
• Lead front-end operations and deliver strong customer service.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and POS procedures.
