Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to manage a specific store area and the general operations when on duty. You will supervise associates, ensure safe, friendly shopping, and uphold merchandising standards across departments.

You will lead front-end activities, train team members on cash handling, and support loss prevention while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and secure store environment, supervising daily operations.
• Open/close store and supervise associates as needed.
• Ensure merchandising, cleanliness and stockroom organization to company standards.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Manage payroll-related tasks and scheduling as assigned by Store Manager.
• Assist with front-end operations to reduce customer wait times.
