Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. seeks an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee operations when the Manager on Duty is away. You will supervise associates, ensure a safe, tidy, and visually appealing environment, and enforce company processes and standards for service, merchandising, and loss prevention.

You will train staff, cover shifts as needed, and support payroll and scheduling duties while maintaining a strong customer experience and compliance with policy.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the store and supervise associates as the Manager on Duty.
• Maintain safe, clean, and well-merchandised areas.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed.
• Drive front-end efficiency and customer service standards.
• Support merchandising, stockroom, and loss prevention tasks.
• Train and coach associates on policies, POS use, and safety.
• Manage payroll-related duties and shift coverage where required.
