Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined Store area and oversee operations when the Store is managed on duty. You will open/close the Store, supervise Associates, ensure clean, well-merchandised spaces, and uphold Ross’s service standards.

You will also maintain safety, train cashiers, and support loss prevention while promoting a positive, productive work environment across shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• The Area Supervisor is a member of Store Leadership responsible for a specific area of the Store and for general operations when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Open and close the Store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and a clean work area at all times; execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Maintain safety and security on the sales floor and protect company assets.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers, shortage control, and front-end procedures.
• Lead by example in delivering Ross’s customer service standards and brand expectations.
