Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a designated store area and assume managerial duties when the Store Manager is away.

You will supervise Associates, ensure a safe, clean, and inviting shopping environment, and maintain proper merchandising across departments. You will implement daily operating processes, support customer service excellence, and lead loss prevention and front-end duties while collaborating with the Store Manager to drive results and uphold store

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as the Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a clean, easy-to-shop environment and proper merchandise presentation.
• Execute Company operational processes and Loss Prevention activities.
• Maintain front-end processes to Company standards and train staff accordingly.
• Coach Associates on cash registers, shortage control policies, and front-end procedures.
• Manage floor moves, signing, and back-stock to Company standards.
• Ensure fitting rooms are maintained and merchandise tagged and tickets are accurate.
• Assist in administrative duties such as cash pulls, banking, and payroll-related tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.
