Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and support daily operations as the Manager on Duty.

You will open and close the store, supervise associates, ensure clean, well-merchandised spaces and uphold safety and loss-prevention standards. You will train and coach front-end staff, manage payroll-related tasks, and execute company best practices to optimize customer service and store performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed.
• Maintain safe and secure environments and report unsafe conditions.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and proper checkout procedures.
• Control break schedules and ensure frontline efficiency.
• Perform payroll administration and scheduling duties as assigned.
