Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor who will manage a designated store area and assist in overseeing store operations as part of Store Leadership. The role includes opening/closing, supervising associates, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-merchandised environment, and executing company processes.

The Area Supervisor will focus on safe operations, customer service, and effective front-end supervision, while supporting merchandising and loss prevention initiatives in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and correct unsafe conditions.
• Supervise Associates and ensure friendly, helpful service.
• Represent and support the Ross Stores brand and maintain a neat, merchandised store.
• Oversee front-end operations, train cashiers, and manage break schedules.
• Assist with stockroom organization, receiving and merchandising processes.
• Support loss prevention initiatives and ensure compliance with policies.
