Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist in daily operations, including opening/closing, supervising associates, and maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

You will ensure merchandise presentation, safety, and adherence to company procedures, while coaching staff on front-end operations, loss prevention, and stockroom organization. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a specific store area and assists with store operations when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Opens and closes the store, supervises Associates, and maintains a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensures proper merchandise presentation and maintains a clean work area at all times.
• Executes and supervises company operational processes as needed.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash registers, shortage control, and front-end procedures.
• Maintains stockroom organization and supports merchandising of departments.
