Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee operations when the Manager on Duty is away. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment while executing company processes.

Responsibilities include area merchandising, loss prevention, front-end supervision, and ensuring safety and customer service standards are met on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and associates.
• Trains and coaches associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Controls break schedules and ensures proper payroll administration.
• Supervises front-end operations to meet productivity standards.
• Ensures merchandise presentation and stockroom organization per policy.
