Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a store area, oversee operations, and supervise staff when the Manager on Duty. You will ensure proper merchandise presentation and a safe, clean shopping environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, supervising Associates, enforcing company processes, and maintaining loss prevention and front-end efficiency. Strong communication and supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluent in English with strong written communications.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations commonly used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise staff when Manager on Duty.
• Ensure merchandise is presented to company standards and maintain a clean, organized sales floor.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment and monitor safety compliance on the sales floor.
• Process merchandise, receive shipments, and manage stockroom organization.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers, shortage control, and front-end procedures.
• Assist with payroll administration and other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
