Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and overall store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will supervise Associates, open/close the store, and ensure a safe, well-presented shopping environment.

The role requires strong leadership, customer service focus, and adherence to company processes and standards. Key duties include merchandising, inventory flow, loss prevention, and front-end supervision.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, supervise associates, and manage operations as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, cleanliness and safety on the sales floor.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and loss prevention.
• Control front-end duties, staffing, and go-backs, while upholding company standards.
• Handle administrative tasks including payroll and deposits as needed.
