Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist in store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, maintain a friendly shopping environment, and ensure merchandise presentation meets standards.

You will also execute company processes, support safety and loss-prevention programs, and lead front-end activities to maximize efficiency while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure environments and ensures safety is the top priority.
• Supervises Associates, handles opening/closing, and ensures a clean, merchandised store.
• Executes Company Best Practices and supervises front-end operations to optimize speed and service.
• Provides daily leadership to achieve loss prevention, stockroom organization, and replenishment.
• Trains and coaches staff on cash handling, compliance, and customer service excellence.
