Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a designated area of the store and support overall operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open and close the store, supervise associates and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

You will lead merchandising, maintain clean, organized stockrooms, and enforce company policies on safety, loss prevention, and front-end standards. Strong communication and supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure store environments and enforces loss prevention practices.
• Supervises associates, ensures proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Opens and closes the store and oversees operations when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Executes and supervises company operational processes as needed.
• Trains and coaches staff on POS procedures and checkout efficiency.
• Delivers friendly, professional customer service and supports store leadership.
