Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist Store Manager on Duty in daily operations. You will open/close, supervise Associates, ensure friendly shopping experience, proper merchandise presentation, and clean work areas.

Responsibilities include enforcing store processes, leading front-end operations, managing safety, loss prevention, and merchandising standards while coaching staff to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety and security on the sales floor and assists with opening/closing.
• Leads front-end operations to ensure fast, friendly customer service.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash handling and store procedures.
• Ensures merchandising standards, stockroom organization, and back-stock control.
• Schedules coverage and manages breaks for retail staff.
