Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to manage a defined store area and support the Store Leader in daily operations.

You will open and close the store, supervise Associates, ensure proper merchandise presentation, keep the work area clean, and maintain a friendly shopping environment for customers. This role emphasizes supervision, front-end efficiency, loss prevention adherence, and completing administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly shopping environment.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Lead Front End operations to manage lines and checkout efficiency.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain clean work areas.
• Support Loss Prevention and safety initiatives on the sales floor.
