Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead an area of 5+ stores and develop General Managers into confident leaders who build high-performing teams. You will own your area’s PnL, plan, prioritize, and drive improvements daily, fostering accountability, hospitality, and growth.

You’ll report to the Director of Operations and work with Field Leadership to scale leaders and deliver exceptional experiences for teams and customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leadership in hospitality or retail
• Experience leading multiple locations (3–10) and developing managers
• Passionate about hospitality and customer/employee experience
• Strong operational and financial judgment
• Ability to hire and develop managers and lead through change
• Strategic quarter-ahead planning and translating priorities into action
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Be Our Ultimate Hospitality Leader: coach GMs to maintain high standards across shifts
• Hold the bar by inspecting stores and data and closing gaps quickly
• Step in to turnaround underperforming stores or launch new ones
• Plan for demand with HQ forecasts and store-level translation
• Build labor plans with headcount targets and rota coaching
• Calibrate inventory to forecast demand and prevent overstock/stockouts
• Develop GMs through training paths, 1:1s, and feedback
• Own talent pipeline with hiring/promotion decisions and succession targets
• Create an area-wide culture of collaboration and fast-moving energy
• Know your numbers: manage KPIs and PnL for your area
• Ensure each store has a plan and supports its execution
• Roll out new initiatives with clear comms and training
