Job summary

Blank Street in New York is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee 5+ stores and their General Managers. You will grow people, hire, coach and develop an A* team, while owning your area's PnL, planning, prioritizing and driving consistent improvement.

You will report to the Director of Operations, partner with the Field Leadership team, and scale the next generation of leaders while delivering exceptional experiences for both teams and customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or another fast-growing consumer business.
• Experience leading multiple locations (3-10) and developing the managers who run them.
• Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional customer and employee experiences.

Responsibilities

• Be Our Ultimate Hospitality Leader: Coach GMs to implement systems, behaviors and processes to uphold hospitality standards.
• Hold the bar: review standards via store visits and data, and push GMs to close gaps quickly.
• Jump in where it counts: turn around struggling stores and launch new ones in your area.
• Plan for demand: translate quarterly forecasts into store plans and communicate with each GM.
• Build the labor plan: set quarterly headcount targets and rotas across stores.
• Calibrate inventory: align stock with forecasted demand and establish guardrails.
