Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead an area of 5+ stores, grow the team of GMs, and own the PnL. You will hire, coach and develop leaders, plan labor and inventory, and drive strategic initiatives across stores in the NY market.

You will report to the Director of Operations and collaborate with the Field Leadership team to scale leaders and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or another fast-growing consumer business.
• Experience leading multiple locations (3-10) and developing the managers who run them.
• Passionate about hospitality; delivering exceptional customer and employee experiences.
• Strong operational and financial judgment; reads data (P&L, KPI dashboards) and acts.
• People leader with experience hiring and developing managers and leading through change.
• Strategic planner who can plan a quarter ahead and translate priorities into action.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach GMs to maintain hospitality standards across shifts.
• Monitor area performance with store visits and data; hold leaders accountable.
• Turn around struggling stores and launch new ones.
• Plan demand via quarterly forecasts and align to each store.
• Build labor plans with headcount and transfers.
• Calibrate inventory to forecast demand and avoid overstock/stockouts.
• Develop GMs through training and feedback.
• Own talent pipeline and succession targets for the area.
• Foster a high-energy, collaborative Blank Street culture.
• Know KPIs and PnL; set weekly/quarterly priorities.
• Ensure each store has a plan and monitor execution.
• Roll out initiatives across area; drive adoption.
