Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join Store Leadership, overseeing a defined area and supervising Associates during Manager on Duty shifts. You’ll open/close the store, ensure merchandise presentation, and maintain a safe, inviting shopping environment.

Responsibilities include front-end supervision, loss prevention, merchandising, and administrative duties under the Store Manager. Previous retail supervisory experience and strong English communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure store environment and ensures compliance with Loss Prevention policies.
• Oversees front-end operations and staff to ensure efficient customer flow.
• Trains and coaches associates on cash registers and policy adherence.
• Manages payroll administration and scheduling where required.
• Performs administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
