Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist in operations as Manager on Duty.

You will supervise Associates, ensure proper merchandise presentation, open/close the store, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment. You will enforce company standards in safety, loss prevention, front-end operations, and general merchandising; train associates on POS, scheduling, and cash handling; and support payroll and administrative duties as assigned by

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a defined area of the store and supervise Associates on duty.
• Ensure merchandise presentation is up to company standards and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed.
• Lead loss prevention efforts and ensure safety for customers and Associates.
• Assist with Front End operations and training on cash registers and checkout procedures.
• Handle administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
