Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee operations in the Store during Manager on Duty shifts. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and ensure a safe, well-presented shopping environment.

The role focuses on customer service, adherence to company policies, loss prevention, and front-end operations. Strong communication and supervisory skills are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store and supervises Associates.
• Maintains merchandise presentation and a clean, well-organized store environment.
• Executes Company Best Practices and supports Store Leadership.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash registers and procedures.
• Oversees loss prevention and safety programs on the sales floor.
• Manages payroll, scheduling, and administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
