Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join store leadership and oversee a specific area of the store while supporting general operations as Manager on Duty. Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store; supervise Associates and manage operations when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, clean work areas and a friendly shopping environment.
• Implement company processes, supervise stockrooms, floor moves and signing.
• Lead loss prevention activities and safeguard cash, inventory and confidential information.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers, shortage controls and front-end procedures.
• Ensure repairs, schedules, and payroll administration as assigned by Store Manager.
