Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Ohio is seeking a proactive Area Leader to drive team engagement, coaching, and performance across a defined span of care.

You will lead Leads and Team Leaders, manage onboarding, development, and succession planning, and own area operations and budget responsibilities to maximize sales and productivity. As part of the Meijer family, you’ll champion safety, process improvements, and a culture that values inclusion, service excellence, and community engagement, while guiding staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to influence without authority and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding and development and coaching.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing and leadership pipelines.
• Cand for ongoing discussions to uphold standards and growth.
• Oversee area operations and financial results, manage budget and P&L.
• Drive safety, compliance, and store condition management.
• Guide Team Leaders and Leads in daily assignments and training needs.
