Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Area Leader to oversee a span of care, directing Leads and Team Leaders, and being accountable for area operations and financial results. You will drive onboarding, coaching, performance management, training and development, and succession planning to build a diversified talent pipeline.

This role emphasizes process improvements, safety, and adherence to Meijer policies while delivering strong customer service and company culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.
• Strong commitment to safety and inclusive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee area operations and financial results, including budget management.
• Direct Leads and Team Leaders and coordinate staffing, training and development.
• Coach, recognize, and provide feedback to team members with a focus on measurable improvement.
• Identify process improvements and ensure compliance with Meijer policies.
