Meijer is seeking an Area Leader to drive engagement and performance across a span of care. You will lead Leads and Team Leaders, ensuring onboarding, coaching, and development while managing area operations, budgets, and safety protocols.

The role emphasizes talent identification, candid discussions, and adherence to Meijer standards to grow leaders and improve customer service. A results-driven mindset and inclusive leadership are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members to provide clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training and development.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing and leadership pipelines.
• Involvement in candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth.
• Oversees area operations and financial results to maximize sales and productivity.
• Drives safety and compliance and manages store condition and procedures.
• Directs Leads and Team Leaders with daily work and training needs.
