Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Area Leader to oversee engagement, coaching, and performance across the span of care. You will direct Leads and Team Leaders, manage operations and financials, and drive continuous improvements while upholding Meijer’s culture.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 4+ years in retail leadership, with strong communication, financial analysis, and safety focus to maximize sales and service.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training, and coaching for success.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing and leadership development.
• Leads candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth.
• Oversees area operations and financial results, driving budgeted performance.
• Drives safety, facility condition, and compliance across the store.
• Guides Team Leaders and Leads in daily work and training needs.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
