Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in New York is seeking a Regional HR Manager to lead HR strategy and operations across multiple Sunrise communities in the region. You will drive recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement while partnering with community leaders.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and 2+ years HR experience with supervisory responsibilities; strong knowledge of employment laws and HR systems; excellent communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years HR experience (senior living or healthcare preferred).
• Supervisory and employee relations experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• High integrity and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment, job fairs, and hiring processes.
• Ensure compliance with Sunrise Hiring Standards and employment laws.
• Lead onboarding, orientation, and system access for new team members.
• Maintain HRIS, ATS, personnel files, and regulatory documentation.
• Manage unemployment and workers' compensation claims.
• Serve as HR partner to department leaders on performance management.
• Lead employee relations matters and internal investigations.
• Drive team member engagement initiatives and action planning.
• Deliver HR systems and policy training for front-line staff.
• Maintain audit readiness and complete monthly compliance controls (MKCC).

In addition to base compensation, Sunrise may offer discretionary and/or non-discretionary bonuses. The eligibility to receive such a bonus will depend on the employee's position, plan/program offered by Sunrise at the time, and required performance pursuant to the plan.
