Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an Area Human Resources Manager to lead HR strategy and operations across multiple communities in the Greater Boston area, including Braintree, Norwood, and Plymouth. Regular travel to on-site locations is required, with 3–4 days per week in the field.

The role oversees full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and engagement initiatives while maintaining system data accuracy and regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in HR, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years HR experience (senior living or healthcare preferred).
• Supervisory and employee relations experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment, job fairs, and hiring processes.
• Ensure compliance with Sunrise Hiring Standards and employment laws.
• Lead onboarding, orientation, and system access for new team members.
• Maintain HRIS, ATS, personnel files, and regulatory documentation.
• Manage unemployment and workers' compensation claims.
• Serve as HR partner to department leaders on performance management.
• Lead employee relations matters and internal investigations.
• Drive team member engagement initiatives and action planning.
• Deliver HR systems and policy training for front-line staff.
• Maintain audit readiness and complete monthly compliance controls (MKCC).

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in HR, Business, or related field
• 2+ years HR experience (senior living or healthcare preferred)

• Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance practices
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
• High integrity and attention to detail
