Job summary

BD is seeking a Procedural Specialist to promote AR&R products through clinical support and education with extensive travel across a defined geographic area. You will educate physicians and hospital staff on surgical procedures, coordinate training, and maintain key relationships with surgeons and clinical teams.

The role requires 3–5 years in operating room or procedural areas, surgical knowledge, credentialing, and proficiency with MS Office, PowerBi, Salesforce, and Showpad.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree highly preferred; or minimum of 6 years equivalent relevant work experience with High School diploma
• Minimum of 3–5 years experience in the Operating Room or procedural areas
• Surgical and procedure knowledge, adequate to support clinical cases
• Medical and surgical terminology; basic anatomy knowledge
• Current credentialing and/or certification in respective clinical discipline
• Advanced knowledge of surgery, and experience with general or plastic surgeons preferred
• Experience in the hernia space
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, takes on additional responsibilities, and manages priorities with minimal supervision
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote), PowerBi, Salesforce (SFDC), and Showpad
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing and speech
• Ability to travel 60–80% including overnights
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Criminal background satisfactory to BD
• Meet customer/medical facility access requirements including drug screenings
• Maintain vendor credentialing

Responsibilities

• Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and hospital staff on AR&R products through case support and in-servicing
• Coordinate field-level customer training and technical support of clinical cases
• Establish and maintain relationships with surgeons, hospital staff and physicians; obtain new users and applications
• Observe and report market trends affecting AR&R sales and product development
• Maintain relationships with Region Manager and Territory Managers
• Represent BD in accordance with policies and procedures
• Process customer complaints and returns per procedures
• Maintain company automobile and property
• Complete procedural specialist reports and expense and product tracking reports
• Fulfill duties of a Territory Manager in vacant territories and support AR&R procedures
