Job summary

BD is seeking a Procedural Specialist to promote AR&R products via clinical support and education across a defined geography. You will train physicians and hospital staff, coordinate field-level training, and build strong relationships with surgeons and OR teams.

The role requires surgical knowledge, credentialing, and the ability to travel 60–80% with flexibility for early mornings, nights, and weekends. Home-based with extensive travel; location near a major US airport is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree highly preferred; or minimum of 6 years equivalent relevant work experience with High School diploma.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in the Operating Room or procedural areas (eg. ICU or PACU experience).
• Surgical and procedure knowledge, adequate to support clinical cases.
• Medical and surgical terminology; basic anatomy knowledge.
• Current credentialing and / or certification in respective clinical discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of surgery, and experience with general or plastic surgeons preferred.
• Experience in the hernia space.
• Ability to work in a face-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to maintain numerous priorities and meet established deadlines.
• Self-motivated, takes on additional responsibilities, and manages priorities with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote), PowerBi, Salesforce (SFDC), and Showpad.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing and speech.
• Ability to travel 60-80%, including multiple overnights.
• Must possess a valid drivers’ license and satisfactory driving record.
• Must pass criminal background checks and facility access requirements.
• Maintain vendor credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and hospital staff on AR&R products through case support and educational programs.
• Coordinate field-level training and technical support of clinical cases with field sales and logistics.
• Establish and maintain relationships with surgeons, hospital staff, and coordinators; obtain new users and applications.
• Observe and report market trends affecting AR&R sales, service and development.
• Maintain relationships with Region Manager and Territory Managers; represent BD per policies.
• Process customer complaints and returns per procedures.
• Maintain company vehicle and property; complete required reports (expense, product tracking, etc.).
• Fulfill the duty of a Territory Manager in vacant territories and support AR&R procedures.
