Job summary

BD is hiring a Procedural Specialist to promote AR&R products through clinical support and education within a defined geographic area. You will train physicians and hospital staff, coordinate training logistics with field sales, and build relationships with surgeons and OR personnel.

Travel will be extensive (60–80%), and the role requires meeting credentialing, maintaining records, and supporting regional managers. A clinical background and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree highly preferred; or minimum of 6 years equivalent relevant work experience with High School diploma
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the Operating Room or procedural areas.
• Surgical and procedure knowledge to support clinical cases.
• Medical and surgical terminology; basic anatomy knowledge.
• Current credentialing and/or certification in respective clinical discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of surgery; experience with general or plastic surgeons preferred.
• Experience in the hernia space.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, PowerBi, SFDC, Showpad.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to travel 60-80% including overnights.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Criminal background satisfactory to BD.
• Ability to meet access requirements including drug screenings.
• Maintain vendor credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and staff on AR&R products through case support and education programs.
• Coordinate field level customer training and technical support of clinical cases with field sales and logistics.
• Establish and maintain relationships with surgeons, OR staff, hospitals and physicians.
• Observe and report market trends affecting AR&R sales and product development.
• Maintain relationships with Region Manager, Territory Managers and customers.
• Represent BD in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Process customer complaints and returns per procedures.
• Complete and process BD reports (Procedural Specialist, expense, monthly product tracking, complaints).
• Fulfills the duty of a Territory Manager in vacant territories as directed by Regional Manager.
• Travel up to 60-80% with overnight stays; flexible hours including some nights/weekends.
